Aim: The purpose of this module is to provide the student with the technical, inter-personal and administrative skills required by the systems analyst.
  • Systems, organizations, charging, organizations, functional areas, data, information, information systems, documentation, benefits of structured methods, features (eg. SSADM), costs and justifications
  • The role of a systems analyst, skills and personality, other roles and relationships in systems development, the user
  • The systems development life cycle, stages, and models, feasibility studies, terms of reference, systems analysis deliverables, acceptance criteria
  • Investigation scope, nature, problems, techniques, recording results, user requirements specification
  • Data flow diagrams purpose, use, levels, physical and logical DFDs
  • Data dictionary purpose, content, automation
  • Mini-specs forms (flowcharts, decision tables, decision tree, structured English), documentation
  • Entities, relationship, E-R diagrams, events and their effects
  • Data normalization

2. 系統設計 Systems Design
Aim: The purpose of this module is to provide the student with the technical, interpersonal and management skills required by the systems designer. The student will be able to select and use appropriate systems design techniques and tools, introduce controls to ensure availability, integrity and privacy of systems, and plan the implementation of systems..

  • Introduction systems, organizations, charging organizations, functional areas, data, information, information systems, documentation, benefits of structured methods, features (eg. SSADM, OO), costs and justifications
  • The systems development life cycle, stages and models, roles of people involved in systems development, ergonomic principles for systems design
  • Logical data storage and access requirements, file organizations, optimization of access paths
  • Program specifications, timing of procedures (on-line, batch), response times and run times,
  • performance testing and tuning
  • Screen design, layouts, dialogues, forms design, human/computer interface, ergonomic techniques
  • Relate system requirements to constrains (technology, organization), input/output media
  • Data entry procedures, coding and user documentation, system documentation standards

Aim: The purpose of this module is to provide students with an understanding of the basic functions and characteristics of the telecommunications networks used by businesses, for transporting information.

4. 資料庫設計開發 Database Design and Developme
Aim: The purpose of this module is to provide the students with an essential introduction to modern database technology and the development of database systems. Focusing on the practicalities of using database systems in the ongoing development of information systems.

5. 互聯網系統管理 Internet Systems Administration
Aim: The purpose of this module is to provide students with the skills required to avoid security breaches and develop strategies for secure systems.
  • Internet fundamentals URL, functions, components, search indexes, various servers
  • Issues affecting Internet site functionality bandwidth, Internet connection points, ISP, connection types, connection points, graphics, etc.
  • Caching server, client, proxy, etc.
  • Internet client infrastructure; web browsers and clients, configuring the desktop , MIME types, legacy clients, patches, updates, cookies
  • Internet infrastructure, connectivity problems, domain names and DNS, TCP/IP overview
  • Hardware and software connection devices, Internet band width technologies
  • Protocols – remote access, mail system, web system, file transfer system
    Internet application development understand programming-related terms, the differences between client-side and server-side programming languages, integrated databases, HTML, multimedia extension, plug-ins and file formats
  • Diagnostic tools for Internet problems, pre-launch site/application functionality testing

Aim: The purpose of this module is to give students knowledge to manage internet infrastructures.
  • Considerations for security on intranets, extranets and the Internet
  • Security breaches suspicious activities, hacking viruses, crime
  • Access control access control lists, firewalls, packet filters, proxy
  • Authentication certificates, digital signatures, non-repudiation
  • Encryption public & private keys, secure socket layers, S/MIME, digital signatures, encryption standards (global/country specific)
  • Auditing intrusion detection utilities, log files, auditing logs
  • Secure electronic transactions
  • VPN, connecting remote users and different company sites

7. 商業項目管理 Manage Business Projects
Aim: The purpose of this module is to familiarize the student with the principles of project management and control, and to examine the impact of people on projects. Particular attention is paid to information technology project, such as systems development and implementation.

  • Business requirement specification - information systems, project justification, feasibility study, invitation to tender
  • Estimation - cost, duration, resources, methods

8. 實習計劃 Practical Project
Aim: The purpose of this module is to provide students with practical experience in the planning, analysis, design, documentation and (so far as possible) development, testing, implementation and project management of a computer-based system, and to enable them to play a significant role in a systems development project.

課程導師
由香港資深管理人員、專業人士、持有碩士或以上學歷人士及任教大學講師負責。

修讀期
1. 每科必須出席率達80%。
2. 每科必須完成實習功課和實習計劃。
3. 公開考試每年舉行四次,分別為三月、六月、九月和十二月。
4. 測驗考試,成績必須符合以下 表格要求。

評分標準

文憑頒發
凡完成整項課程而經考核及格者,可獲NCC Education頒授國際高級電腦文憑。

入學資格
1.持有IDCS 國際電腦文憑。
2.香港中七程度學生。
3.年滿18歲在職人仕 /IVE文憑課程畢業生。

課程時間及學費
請參閱最新課程時間表。學員另須繳付HK$5,600 (或需按照當時匯率及NCC而作出調整)包括IADCS註冊費、考核費及課本費用,須於辦理入學手續時繳付。
